Ana Maljević (Belgrade, February 16, 1978) is a Serbian actress, ballerina, choreographer, and icon painter, known for her versatile stage presence and decades-long career in theater, film, television, and voice acting.
Early Life and Education
At the age of 14, she enrolled in a prestigious ballet school in Cannes, where she also completed Sainte Marie High School and attended the Rossella Hightower Secondary and Higher Ballet School (classical, modern, and jazz ballet). During this period, she performed in several notable roles in France, emerging early as a gifted ballerina with a strong stage presence.
Upon returning to Belgrade, in 1997 she enrolled at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts under Professor Biljana Mašić. She graduated in 2001 from the Acting Department. During her first year of studies, she landed her first lead role on the stage of the Belgrade Drama Theatre in the play "Shoes Made of Kangaroo Leather," marking the beginning of her acting rise.
Specialist Studies and Professional Development
In 2003, she completed specialist studies in musical theater at the University of Arts in Belgrade, acquiring skills that later led to numerous collaborations with Belgrade theaters, where she worked as a choreographer and stage movement director.
For her role in the film Maksimum, she received the Nadina Award for Best Debut at the "Filmski Susreti" Festival in Niš (1999), one of the most significant domestic film festivals.
Theater, Film, Television, and Voice Acting
Since December 2006, she has been a permanent member of the Pozorište na Terazijama ensemble, performing in numerous musicals, dramatic, and musical-stage projects.
Alongside her theater work, she has appeared in various films and television series and is especially recognized by audiences for her rich and versatile voice.
She has dubbed over 300 roles in internationally renowned animated films and series, giving voice to characters beloved by generations of young viewers.
Visual Arts and Iconography
Her artistic interests expanded into sacred painting. Since 2018, she has actively engaged in icon painting and completed her academic process with master’s studies at the

She completed her Master’s in Iconography in 2019 and another Master’s in Conservation and Restoration of Easel Paintings in 2020, becoming a certified icon painter, conservator, and restorer, with numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Additional Activities
She practices extreme sports, including horseback riding, diving, and stunt disciplines, which she often applies as an advantage in acting roles that require physical fitness and precise movement.
She speaks French, English, and German.
Family
She is the daughter of producer Bojan Maljević and the sister of actress and producer Bojana Maljević.
